St. Anthony High School in Long Beach recently announced that the Western Catholic Educational Association’s accreditation team has awarded them the highest marks in all evaluated areas.

The school received commendable evaluations for their Catholic identity because of their strong emphasis on prayer life, sacramental life, service projects and the permeation of Catholic values in all aspects of school life. Other areas of recognition include organizational efficacy, teaching and learning excellence, student support, educational improvement and integrity of the self-study process.

The accreditation team’s mission is to promote quality Catholic education for students through an accreditation process that assures the primacy of faith formation and educational excellence.

St. Anthony High School was founded in 1920. For the last seven consecutive years, 100 percent of St. Anthony’s graduates have gone on to attend college or serve in the military.
