Three individuals and a foundation will be honored at the Support Our Aging Religious (SOAR!) Dinner on June 22, at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles.

Kathleen Aikenhead, president of the William H. Hannon Foundation; Timothy and Steph Busch, active in Catholic education and numerous Catholic lay endeavors; and the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation will be recognized for their efforts in support of church ministries and religious.

Proceeds from the dinner will benefit the mission of SOAR! to ensure the safety and comfort of aging religious and enable all members of those congregations to continue active ministries. Established in 1986, SOAR! is a national not-for-profit organization committed to financially supporting elderly and infirm members of Catholic religious congregations.

Aikenhead, president of the William H. Hannon Foundation since 1996 and a 2009 Cardinal’s Award recipient, will be honored with the Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Award. The William H. Hannon Foundation supports Catholic churches, schools, hospitals and social service organizations that focus on improving lives.

Timothy and Steph Busch of Orange County will receive the Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Award. Tim Busch is CEO and principal shareholder of the Busch Firm, an Irvine law firm whose clients include religious organizations. Since 1990, he and Steph are active members of Legatus and the Knights of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. They cofounded St. Anne School in Laguna Nigel and JSerra Catholic High School in San Juan Capistrano, co-chair the Christ Cathedral Capital Campaign and serve on the Catholic Life Institute for Notre Dame University.

The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation will receive the Saint Katharine Drexel Award which honors individuals or organizations that have made a significant contribution on a national scale to the Catholic Church and particularly to America’s men and women religious.
