The lovely Mediterranean home of Cathy and Paul Tosetti was the setting Oct. 10 for Archbishop José Gomez’ announcement of the 2015 Cardinal’s Awards honorees.
On March 21, 2015, Cheryl Baker (St. Brendan, Los Angeles), Sam Navarro (St. Andrew, Pasadena), Jim O’Connor (St. Francis High School, La Canada), Viktor Rzeteljski (St. John Fisher, Rancho Palos Verdes), Emma Stewart (Sts. Felicitas and Perpetua, San Marino) and Gretchen Wayne (St. Charles Borromeo, North Hollywood) will be recognized for their lifetime achievement in the field of “giving to others.”
Proceeds from the dinner will go to five 2015 beneficiaries, chosen by Archbishop Gomez. These social service agencies represent each of the five pastoral regions of the archdiocese: The Pregnancy Health Center of the San Gabriel Valley (San Gabriel), OASIS in Ventura County (Santa Barbara), Good Shepherd Center in Los Angeles (Our Lady of the Angeles), Elizabeth Ann Seton Residence in Long Beach (San Pedro), and Guadalupe in Canoga Park (San Fernando).
