On Friday, August 3, the nationally acclaimed London boys choir Libera will perform at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, as part of a highly-anticipated U.S. tour. Although the choir has performed throughout the U.S. in years past, this will be their first appearance in Los Angeles.
The talented boys who make up the choir range in age from seven to 16, and they all come from different schools and backgrounds across South London. Libera’s original sound brings together ancient and modern musical trends, attracting an enormous global fan base.
Libera has performed in venues all over the world. In their U.S. debut, Libera performed for the President and hundreds of celebrity guests at the Kennedy Center Honors in tribute to Beach Boy Brian Wilson. In that same visit, they participated in the Papal Mass at New York’s Yankee Stadium, which marked Pope Benedict XVI’s first visit to the United States. Their albums often top mainstream and classical charts in countries all over the world, and last Christmas, they were the top classical download on iTunes.
Tickets for the performance at the Cathedral are available here. For more information on Libera and their 2018 U.S. tour, visit libera.org.uk.
