Thatrnincludes all five Catholic teams in Division 1, with four of the five scoringrn3-0 sweeps. The one exception was No. 2 seed Loyola, which prevailed 3-1.

Divisionrn4 co-favorites St. Anthony and La Salle each posted 3-0 wins, as did surgingrnBishop Montgomery in Division 2. Local Catholic schools remain in contentionrnfor four of the five divisional titles.

Secondrnround play is May 10, followed by quarterfinals May 12, semifinals May 16 andrnfinals May 19, and then the SoCal Regionals May 22 through 26. A breakdown ofrnfirst-round results and second-round matchups:
