Archbishop José H. Gomez celebrated a special Memorial Day Mass, honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military, on Monday at the San Fernando Mission Cemetery in Mission Hills.
The special Mass was celebrated outdoors and included a moment of silence, while a bugler played “Taps,” to honor all those who served and their families who made the ultimate sacrifice. White doves were also released.
