St. Anthony High School’s student actors are celebrating their sold-out performances of “Twelve Angry Jurors,” the story of a jury debating a homicide trial. The five performances took place from Dec. 9 to Dec. 11 at the school’s Little Black Box Theater.

Patty Steponovich, the school’s fine arts department chair, directed the student production and says the play served to foster the arts while also teaching students about the U.S. legal system.

The Long Beach school also celebrated its band’s placement in the California State Band Championships. The students placed fourth in the November championships at Westminster High School.
