Students, faculty and members of the board of trustees of Don Bosco Technical Institute (Bosco Tech) in Rosemead dedicated the school’s new technology laboratories and its newly renovated technology corridor during a Mass on Sept. 8, the feast of the Nativity of Mary, with Bishop David G. O’Connell as the celebrant.

The new labs will serve three emerging STEM fields: green and sustainable technology, 3-D design rapid prototyping, and robotics assembly and competition center. Fletcher Jones Foundation, the Michael J. Connell Foundation and the Dan Murphy Foundation donated funding for the project.

“These new labs will function as central learning hubs for many years to come as students broaden their understanding of engineering in real-world lab environments where two or more disciplines are integrated in up-and-coming career fields,” said Xavier Jimenez, principal of Bosco Tech.
