A senior high school student at Don Bosco Technical Institute interned at the Boeing Company this past summer — and impressed staff when he presented an idea that has the potential to save costs in the factory.
Jacob Lovi mentioned his concept to a test and evaluation engineer involved in the summer internship. That engineer reportedly said, “Although his numbers were preliminary, the thought process helped identify potential savings.”
On Dec. 15, the engineer came to Bosco Tech to present Lovi with a certificate of appreciation from the internship program.
“We’re extremely proud of Jacob,” said Bosco Tech President Xavier Jimenez, noting that Lovi has implemented the skills learned at school to “identify and clearly present to his internship mentor a new, more efficient approach to a complex process.”
