Children’s Bureau invites wiling adults to become a resource family to children in foster care while reunifying with birth families or provide legal permanency by adoption if needed.
There are approximately 64,000 children in foster care in California. Los Angeles County’s foster care population exceeds 21,000 children with 450 foster children waiting to be connected to a family who will adopt.
Individuals (single or married) who are interested in helping these children are encouraged to contact Children’s Bureau. Their monthly information meeting is being held June 13 from 10-12 p.m. at Children’s Bureau Family Center, 1910 Magnolia Ave., Los Angeles.
Qualifying individuals and families receive training, certification and support. To find out more, please call (213) 342-0168 or 1 (800) 730-3933. An information packet can be requested online at www.all4kids.org.
