The Innovation in Digital Education and Leadership Institute (iDEAL) at Loyola Marymount University’s School of Education is offering a one-year certificate program to train educators to specialize in integrating technology into the classroom.

Teachers and administrators of K-12 students will learn how to better incorporate technology into their teaching practices to improve student learning. They will also learn to select hardware and software, plan computer systems and implement programs that combine online learning with traditional student-teacher instruction, in order to create a “blended” learning environment.

“The result is that students get more individualized learning that is tailored to their needs,” says Shannon Tabaldo, LMU’s director of digital curriculum integration and development. “They can work at a very high level in math, but may work on a lower level in reading.”

The program is one of only two programs offered in the United States. For more information on news and events at LMU, please visit newsroom.lmu.edu.
