As wind-driven fires raged across Southern California, more than 80 Catholic schools in affected areas experienced closures.

The Palisades Fire has burned through the Pacific Palisades area and heading toward Malibu, while the Eaton Fire threatened the Altadena, Pasadena, and Sierra Madre region, and the Hurst Fire blazed near Sylmar in the northern San Fernando Valley.

The following schools are closed on Jan. 9 based on a number of factors, including proximity to fire, poor air quality and wind damage, staffing challenges, and nearby power outages. Based on the unpredictability of the fires, any upcoming closures or evacuations are subject to change.
