Students, faculty and staff at San Gabriel Mission High School hosted a walk-athon on Feb. 5 in order to raise money for the Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose’s Adult Day Care Center. They raised a total of $4,500.

Participants were able to enjoy the inflatable playgrounds, balloon art and face painting at the charity event. They were also served a large selection of lunch items and snacks, including hamburgers, hot dogs, snow cones, popcorn, cotton candy, chips and drinks.

The San Gabriel Mission Elementary School, Santa Teresita School, Sacred Heart Elementary School and Saint Ignatius Elementary School were among the participants at the charity event. Parents of the students also joined in the walkathon.

San Gabriel Mission High School has long followed Dominican tradition and is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. This year the school celebrates its 65th anniversary. For more information, please visit sgmhs.org.
