“Incredible Destinations,” the Guild of the Good Shepherd Shelter’s annual benefit gala, will be held Oct. 11 at the Sheraton Universal Hotel.

The Good Shepherd Shelter is a long-term shelter that welcomes battered women and their children. Among the first domestic violence shelters in the country, it continues to be the sole shelter in Los Angeles that offers support, learning skills, therapeutic services, legal advocacy, aftercare support and more — all of which is maintained solely through private donations with no government funding.

The event — which will include dining, entertainment, dancing and auctions to raise funds and awareness for those served by the shelter — also will honor the Sisters of the Good Shepherd and celebrate their 110 years in Los Angeles changing the destinies of the women and children who they have served over the years.

The evening will be emceed by Patrick Healy, Channel 4 news reporter. For information, call (818) 333-5067 or visit www.goodshepherdshelter.org.
