The Daughters of Charity and St. Vincent Senior Citizen Nutrition Program Governing Board have announced the appointment of their new CEO and Executive Director, Veronica Dover.

Dover comes to Daughters of Charity from Family Services Association in Moreno Valley, where she was a nonprofit management executive with over 23 years of experience. In a statement, she said she is looking forward to continuing the vital mission begun by Sister Alice Marie 40 years ago.

Since 2009, she was the Chief Operating Officer, working with the operations of senior nutrition programs and the development of Healthy Food Access programming. Prior to this, Dover was a licensed marriage and family therapist.

Dover will take the reins as CEO in mid-October 2018. Until that time, Daryl Twerdahl will continue to serve as the Interim Director, a position she took on after the unexpected death of the founder in 2017. Once Dover takes over, Twerdahl will return to her previous role as the Director of Fund Development.
