The annual Chrism Mass was celebrated at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels on Monday, April 15 by Archbishop José H. Gomez.
The liturgy is the annual celebration of the sacred priesthood of Jesus.
Every year, the Church comes together as one body in the celebration of the sacramental life of the archdiocese and prays for those who will be anointed with the oils that are blessed at the Mass: the elect who will commence their faith journey; the sick to be healed; the infants; children and adults who will be baptized; the young and old who will be confirmed; those who will be ordained.
