St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower welcomes Brett D. Beck as the school’s new vice president of institutional advancement. Beck has been the director of development at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and Miller Children’s and Women’s Hospital since 2012. He will begin his new position in May.
“St. John Bosco is becoming nationally recognized as one of the premier institutions in the country where a young man can develop with faith, intellect, leadership and citizenship,” Beck said. “I am excited to help further Bosco’s mission.”
Beck’s new responsibilities will entail working on fund development, marketing, communications and enrollment outreach. He will collaborate with the school president and board of directors to maintain and improve the school’s vision, mission and strategy.
“The vision and leadership of the school’s president and its board of directors is exciting,” Beck said. “I look forward to helping impact the young men who will be our future leaders, husbands and fathers.”
School president Paul Escala said Brett’s previous accomplishments in fund development, executive leadership, public relations and marketing will benefit the all-male Catholic prep school. Beck has also served for 16 years as the chief development officer at the Boy Scouts of America in Orange County.
Beck and his wife Christina have two children, Peter and Elise. They live in Long Beach.
