This year the relics of St. Padre Pio are touring the U.S., and will stop at St. Andrew Church in Los Angeles on May 18-19.
The relics will be on display for veneration between Masses in commemoration of the 130th anniversary of Padre Pio’s birth on May 25, 1887, and the 15th anniversary of his canonization on June 16, 2002.

The Italian saint was known for his gifts of healing, bilocation and prophecy. Due to his concern for the sick, Padre Pio founded a hospital in San Giovanni Rotondo, named the “Home to Relieve Suffering,” in 1956. He bore the stigmata for 50 years.
