On June 16, Loyola High School’s speech and debate coach Michael S. Overing, Esq., will be honored at the 2016 National Speech and Debate Tournament in Salt Lake City, UT.
The National Speech and Debate Association’s Honor Society will give special recognition to Overing for his leadership to the Loyola Speech and Debate team, which competed at the national level under his direction.
The team travels across the country to top level tournaments, competing at the highest levels of national debate. The students’ success has earned Overing more than the 1,500 points necessary for him to be honored with a First Diamond degree membership.
