As part of The Cabrini Literary Guild’s philanthropic mission to extend a helping hand to other non-profit organizations to further their programmes, the GLG recognized four local organizations for their good work at their annual philanthropy event on June 14th at the Oakmont Country Club.

The grant recipients represented programs ranging from feeding and housing the homeless, assisting domestic violence survivors to combating adult literacy and supporting and advocating for homeless kids and youth aged out of the foster care system.

Representing the grantees are: 

Maria Roldan - Loaves & Fishes Program, Catholic Charities

Tara Petersen -YWCA Domestic Violence Program

Hala Shonouda & Juan Guillermo Garcia - Glendale Public Library Adult Literacy Program

Amanda Sattler - Covenant House California
