The United Farm Workers (UFW) and the UFW Foundation will screen “Cesar Chavez: An American Hero” at a series of special red carpet events planned in California cities and Washington, D.C. during the movie's opening weekend. Money raised at these special events will help to support both the UFW and the UFW Foundation.

Scheduled local screenings include:

—March 28: Fundraising Reception: UFW Office, 920 S. ‘A’ St., Oxnard, 6-7 p.m., followed by 7:45 p.m. screening at Plaza Cinemas 14, 255 W. Fifth St.

—March 30: 5 p.m. screening at The Landmark, 10850 W. Pico Blvd., West Los Angeles, followed by fundraising reception and program at Westside Tavern (same complex).
