The Thomas Aquinas College Choir has released its latest album, “Hodie: Music for Christmas.” The 17-track compilation of traditional Christmas songs include “While Shepherds Watched,” “Ding Dong Merrily on High” and “Ye Clouds of Heaven.”

The album was performed and recorded under the direction of Dan Grimm, the choir director and an alumnus of the college. The choir has dedicated the album to the choir director’s parents, William and Irene Grimm. William Grimm, who passed away in June 2015, is remembered for his continued support of the college since its founding in 1971. He and his wife often welcomed students to their home for food and entertainment, while the patriarch was instrumental in procuring equipment for the school’s natural science laboratories.

William and Irene are the parents of 14 Thomas Aquinas College alumni and the grandparents of 52 alumni and current students. A new video — “Praying Twice: The Thomas Aquinas College Choir” — details the contributions of the musically-gifted Grimm family at the college.
