At press time Aug. 27, Senate Bill 131 was being discussed prior to an expected vote in the California Assembly.  The bill, which would (effective Jan. 1, 2014) retroactively eliminate the civil statute of limitations against private schools and private employers in claims involving childhood sexual abuse, passed the Assembly Appropriations Committee Aug. 21, after having fallen short of passage the prior week.
