The Theatre Arts program at Santa Monica College will perform “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” beginning May 22-31.
The one-act musical comedy tells the story of an eclectic group of young students competing for a spelling championship. The play received a Tony Award for best book, which was written by Rachel Sheinkin. The music and lyrics are by William Finn.
