This year’s Mass theme is “Rooted in Christ: Firm in the Faith.” Coordinated by the Office of Ethnic Ministry, the Mass is open to all who are encouraged to attend in cultural attire representing their heritage. The 3 p.m. procession through downtown Los Angeles to the Cathedral commemorates the founding of El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora de Los Angeles in September 1781. The procession is scheduled to arrive at the Cathedral at 4 p.m., followed by the Rosary at 4:30, Mass at 5:30 and reception in Plaza at 6:45.
