Holy Spirit Retreat Center will hold its annual Autumn Festival of Art fundraising event Oct. 18-19, a family event offering numerous works of 23 accomplished artists. Original arts and crafts items, food, children’s activities, wine tasting, silent auction and art demonstrations are also featured, as well as a new art walk featuring the works of students from six local high schools.

Entertainment on both days (11 a.m.-5 p.m.) includes the Alleluia Dancers, Jon Sherman and his Native American flute, and guitarist Michael O’Palko. On Saturday, bluegrass group Murphy’s Flaw will also perform. Tickets are $10 per person ($25 per family, 12 and under free), and proceeds support Holy Spirit Retreat Center, a nonprofit ministry of the Sisters of Social Service.

The center is located at 4316 Lanai Rd., Encino. For more information, call (818) 285-3354 or visit www.hsrcenter.com.
