Holy Family Church in Artesia will host the parish’s 3rd annual “Concert Under the Stars” at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 21. The free community event will be held in the courtyard of Our Lady of Fatima School, the parish elementary school.
“The concert is a night of fun and fellowship for our parish, where local performers — all of them parishioners — get to showcase their talents,” said Abigail de la Rosa de Jesus, parishioner and bulletin coordinator at Holy Family. She described the yearly event as an opportunity to enjoy great music, delicious food, and the company of both new and old friends in a festive atmosphere.
Dinnah Salud, music ministry coordinator for Holy Family, said the concert is a group effort by several church ministries and students. The goal of the gathering, (which is “open to everyone,” said Salud), is to celebrate “church and community.”
