The Sisters of St Joseph of Carondelet affirmed their newly elected Los Angeles Province Leadership Team during Mass on Aug. 3 at Carondelet Center in Los Angeles, attended by sisters, associates and friends, and with Sacred Hearts Father Rich Danyluk presiding. The team includes:

—Sister Theresa Kvale, who ministered for many years in Peru, and served on the CSJ congregational leadership team (2002-08) and has been on the province leadership team (2010-14).

—Sister Sandra Williams, who ministered with Concern America in Santa Ana, and spent many years working in the Diocese of Orange. 

—Sister Mary Ann Martin, who was in province leadership as regional superior in San Francisco for the last four years. Prior to that, she served as Pastoral Associate at Sts. Felicitas and Perpetua Church, San Marino (2003-10).

—Sister Angela Faustina, who has served as director of worship and music at St. Joseph the Worker Church, Winnetka, for 13 years.

—Sister Suzanne Jabro, the founder of Get on the Bus which unites children with incarcerated parents, and formerly head of the archdiocesan Restorative Justice Office. 

All are graduates from Mount St. Mary's College. Sister Kvale was born and educated in San Francisco, while the other four are native Los Angelenos: Sister Williams from Bishop Alemany High School, and Sisters Martin, Faustina and Jabro from St. Mary's Academy.

The CSJ Los Angeles Province covers the western U.S., with sisters in Idaho, Washington, Arizona and California, as well as Japan where 12 sisters serve.
