The San Gabriel Pastoral Region is keeping the doors of three churches open for 24 hours and offering the Sacrament of Reconciliation from noon on Friday, March 24, until noon the following day, March 25.

The clergy at these parishes are committing to the 24-hour confession hours as a sign of how much God and the Church loves each person. The churches involved include Our Lady of the Rosary of Talpa in Boyle Heights, Sacred Heart in Covina and St. Andrew in Pasadena.

The joint event description reminds parishioners and guests that Pope Francis asks Catholics to evangelize, in this case by reaching out and inviting those who have been away from the Church for a long time.
