Archbishop José H. Gomez gathered with youth ministers and confirmation coordinators from throughout the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Jan. 19 at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels.

The archbishop challenged the youth ministers, urging them to become saints for the 21st century. The archbishop also encouraged communication not just between youth ministers and others at the parish, but with everyone they encounter. Their lives can witness the happiness and vibrancy of the faith.

“The archbishop shared his vision for youth ministry in the archdiocese,” said Father Chris Bazyrous, director of the Office of Religious Education. “It was a wonderful meeting, there was a wonderful energy. We have so many great possibilities.”
